Moving to Manila, PhilippinesWritten by Jeffrey Bennett
Here we are. I’ve officially begun the first phase of my move to Manila, Philippines.
This part has me driving from San Francisco, California to Denver, Colorado.
You see, I’m no stranger to moving. My childhood consisted of moving nearly every few years. I’ve lived in Texas, Wyoming, Colorado, North Carolina, and back and forth between several times before moving to California in 2010.
It was my decision to live in California all those years ago, and it was truly one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
I’ve grown and flourished so much in my time there, but life is a funny thing sometimes. Suddenly, when you least expect it, it takes you in a drastically different direction.
I mean, this was my view at home in San Francisco, California.
San Francisco’s skyrocketing rent prices make it the single most expensive place on earth. And as much as I wish I had been born with a silver spoon in my mouth, rent prices are exactly the reason I can’t stay.
The cost of living is a major reason I’ve chosen to live in Manila. There’s also the fact that many of the 7,641 islands in the Philippines are really beautiful. And I’ll be significantly closer to many major sites I’ve wanted to visit my entire life.
Just look at that sexiness! 😍😍😍
I will definitely miss San Francisco, but am totally looking forward to this new chapter in my life. Stay tuned!
